Notes about Radar Contact 4.3

Radar Contact version 4.3 is a point release for users of radar contact version 4.2

the only enhancement is the ability to read xml based .pln files generated by fsx

You cannot and should not upgrade 4.0 or 4.01 to 4.3 - you must upgrade:

	4.0 to 4.01	(http://www.davevollmer.com/rcv401update.exe)

if you intend to use radar contact with both fsx and fs9, please read these instruction:

	1) make a backup of the makerwys.exe (if it is there) in the root of the fs9 and fsx directory
	2) make a copy of the rcv4 directory, call it rcv4x
	3) install the latest fsuipc in each of the fs \modules directories
		a) for fsx, http://www.schiratti.com/FSUIPC4.zip?timestamp=101106
		b) for fs9, http://www.schiratti.com/files/dowson/FSUIPC.zip?timestamp=071106
	4) unzip the new rcv4.exe into the rcv4x directories, overwriting when prompted to
	5) unzip the new makerwys.exe into both the fs9 and fsx root directories
	6) when you want to run rcv4 for fsx, run the rcv4.exe out of the rcv4x directory
	7) when you want to run rcv4 for fs9, run the rcv4.exe out of the rcv4 directory
	8) when you start rcv4 for fsx for the first time:
		a) click the .flt/.wx button, and define the path to the "flight simulator x files" in my documents
		b) click rebuild scenery database
                c) you will be asked if this is a widefs configuration. if it is:
                         you will need to run makerwys in the root of the fsx directory, manually
                         when it is complete, click the completion dialog box in makerwys, then the other dialog box in rc
                         rc will ask where the fsx directory is, you can use a UNC name, or file share/path
                         rc will copy the necessary files to the rcv4/data directory, and rebuild the a4 file
                d) if you answer no, to the widefs question
                         rc will ask you where the fsx directory is, and run makerwys for you, and rebuild the files

	9) when you start rcv4 for fs9 for the first time:
		a) click the .flt/.wx button, and define the path to the "flight simulator files" in my documents
		b) click rebuild scenery database
                c) you will be asked if this is a widefs configuration. if it is:
                         you will need to run makerwys in the root of the fs9 directory, manually
                         when it is complete, click the completion dialog box in makerwys, then the other dialog box in rc
                         rc will ask where the fs9 directory is, you can use a UNC name, or file share/path
                         rc will copy the necessary files to the rcv4/data directory, and rebuild the a4 file
                d) if you answer no, to the widefs question
                         rc will ask you where the fs9 directory is, and run makerwys for you, and rebuild the files
